What we keep, what we don’t, and why.
In plain words. The legal version is the privacy policy; if they ever disagree, the legal version wins, and we’ll fix this one.
The text your AI wrote
When you paste your AI’s portrait, or your AI hands it to us through a connector, we read it once to build your profile and then discard it. It is never stored as a transcript. Connector links hold the text for at most 24 hours, only until the link is opened, then delete it.
What we build from it
Your profile: a headline, a set of claims about you, and for each claim the exact words of yours that support it. Before we keep anything, we set aside:
- anything about other people in your life — partner, family, friends, colleagues;
- sexual orientation, religion, politics, health, and money, unless you later choose to share a topic explicitly;
- names of employers, companies you hold, or real people.
The profile page tells you what was set aside, and how much.
What you tell us directly
Your answers on which claims are right, who you’re looking for, your email address if you keep your portrait, and your Google account’s email if you sign in with Google. We don’t receive your Google password or contacts.
Where it lives
On servers in the United States, with providers we’ve vetted: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database and sign-in), Anthropic (the model that reads your portrait), Resend (email), PostHog (analytics, only with your consent), and Google (sign-in, if you use it). Each one processes data only on our instructions. The full list, with roles, is in the privacy policy.
Analytics
We measure how Veram is used so we can improve it. Without your consent this is cookieless: every visit looks like a stranger. With your consent we set one analytics cookie so we can see a journey across visits. Your portrait never goes into analytics. No ads, nothing sold, ever. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a “no”.
Who can see your profile
Today: only you. When introductions launch, another person sees your profile only if there is a mutual match and you both agree to the introduction. Nothing is public and nothing is searchable.
Your rights
Ask for a copy, correct something, or delete everything, at any time. Write to hello@veram.io and we’ll do it within 30 days, usually much sooner. Deleting your account deletes your profile, your answers, and your preferences.
Age
Veram is for adults, 18 and over. If we learn that someone under 18 has an account, we delete it.
