Guidelines for law enforcement.
Updated 4 October 2026. Veram is a dating and introductions service operated by Promvie, Inc., a Delaware corporation, for adults in the United States. These guidelines are for law enforcement and government agencies. Members looking for help should read our safety page and, in an emergency, call 911.
How to send a request
Email hello@veram.io with “Law enforcement request” in the subject, from an official government email address. Include your name, agency, badge or ID number, a phone number we can verify, the legal process attached as a PDF, and the email address or other identifiers of the account concerned. Formal service by mail goes to Promvie, Inc., 1111B S Governors Ave STE 28868, Dover, DE 19904, United States.
Legal process we require
We disclose member information only in response to valid legal process under US law, such as a subpoena, court order or search warrant, consistent with the Stored Communications Act. The content of messages requires a search warrant. Requests from outside the United States should come through a mutual legal assistance treaty or letters rogatory.
Emergencies
If there is an imminent risk of death or serious physical injury, send an emergency disclosure request to the same address with “EMERGENCY” in the subject, describe the emergency and why the information is needed to prevent it. We review emergency requests as a priority and may disclose information without legal process where the law allows.
Preservation
We will preserve the records of a specific account for 90 days on receipt of a preservation request while you obtain legal process, and can extend it once on request.
What we may hold
Depending on how the account was used: the account email address and sign-in records, the member’s profile and answers, photos, introductions and messages with other members, reports and blocks, payment records (card details are held by our payment processor, Stripe, not by us), and short-lived technical logs such as IP addresses. Deleted accounts and content are removed from our systems as described in our privacy policy, so we may not have records of them.
Notice to members
We tell members about requests for their information before disclosure unless the law prohibits it, a court orders otherwise, or notice would risk someone’s safety.
Child safety and trafficking
Veram is for adults only. We do not tolerate human trafficking, sexual exploitation or any content that sexualises a minor. We remove it, close the accounts involved, report apparent child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as US law requires, and cooperate with investigations.
